AQIS 2026 will offer two optional excursion programs for registered conference participants.
Please note that these excursions are open only to registered AQIS 2026 participants. Since transportation and related arrangements must be made in advance, please register only if you intend to participate in the excursion.
Participation is limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
If your plans change after registration, please inform the AQIS 2026 Organizing Committee as soon as possible.

1. KRISS Technical Tour

The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) is Korea’s national metrology institute and a leading national research institute in measurement science and advanced quantum technologies.
The KRISS Technical Tour will provide AQIS 2026 participants with an opportunity to visit research groups working on quantum technologies, including superconducting quantum computing and neutral-atom quantum computing. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with researchers at KRISS.

2. Cultural Excursion to the National Museum of Korea

The National Museum of Korea, located in Seoul, is one of Korea’s major cultural institutions, presenting the history, art, and cultural heritage of Korea through its extensive collections and exhibitions.
AQIS 2026 will provide round-trip transportation from KAIST to the National Museum of Korea. After arrival, participants will have free time to explore the museum and the surrounding area on their own.

- Destination: National Museum of Korea, Seoul
- Estimated travel time: approximately 2.5 hours each way, depending on traffic
- Return bus departure from the National Museum of Korea: 20:00
- Capacity: 80 participants

Please note:
- This excursion provides round-trip transportation only.
- Meals, museum programs, guided tours, and personal expenses are not included.
- Participants will have free time after arrival and are responsible for their own activities until the return bus departure.
- Please be at the return bus meeting point before 20:00. The return bus will depart on time and may not be able to wait for late participants.
- Participants who miss the return bus will need to arrange their own return transportation.
